Awesome song. My dad used to tell me about this song a long time ago and now it all makes sense. He was my stepfather and I didn't understand how hard it must have been on him. But I am grateful for him and his support for me and my mom. I put them through much trouble as a youth and more worry when I joined the Marines. But they were always there for me and each other. Love and Peace Richard and Denise. Mom's gone, we all miss her, but we will carry on

The great song and artists who gave us their best in music- they will never fade nor be forgotten but will be in the halls of fame. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young are one of the best - we were blessed to hear their music in our time.

So you're a Christian! Are you a Protestant, Catholic, or Orthodox? I'm a Protestant.

Such a good song! I would call this a classic of the 20th century.

Well, I think it goes to the age-old adage of 'do as I say, not as I do.' Whatever the sins of the one with the message, they should not take away from the message itself-- and this is a wholeheartedly honest and valuable message. I admire Nash for having made it so articulately.

I was a child when I first heard this and it is a song that still inspires me today. I had no ide that they were 'imbibing' I WAS A CHILD. So I think though they had their personal demons, and I WAS A CHIILD that did as GOD say and did not judge. I learned well from these world. I teach the children well.
